NIOI INCENSE STICK
NIOI
NIOI is a young hypothetical brand which sells insence sticks that is planned to be sold in retail shops, supermarkets and also has its own website.The brand has just entered the market. Our client wants to reflect the brand with minimal, modern and sustainable approach and to give a colorful yet calming image.
THE THOUGHT
My mom regularly worships using an incense stick. It’s an important aspect of an indian household. In the lockdown, i noticed, my mother bought numerous packets of incense stick to avoid going out and buying them repeatedly. When a full packet of incense stick is consumed, it goes straight into the dustbin, never getting reused. So i thought this is a good option of packaging as it could help in reuse the boxes.
THE NAME
NIOI is a japanese word which stands for scent, smell or odour. I needed a name which is unique yet simple. Since the odour of an incense stick is the most important feature of it, I thought it would be the perfect name for the brand.

OUR MISSION
It aims to be a brand which is innovative yet simple and can trap into the traditional thinking of the buyers. It is also have an added benefit of being reusable and sustainable in today’s world when resources are rapidly decreasing.
OUR VISION
Adequate strategy to advertise the brand so that it reaches the masses and expansion of business take place. The factory setup for the production of incense sticks and boxes can provide employment in the ruler areas.
THE IDEA
The two main sectors of competitors are
1. The common brand which are cheap but have poor packaging which do not appeal to the buyers but still tend to thrive in the market because of their high affordability.
2. The brands like phool which have very good graphic which do appeal to the buyers but remain restricted to special ocassions because they are extremely expensive.
So to make a disruption in the market the brand needs to appeal to the buyers with its good graphics but also needs to be affordable to the common people into their day to day life. By making the packaging reusable we attain sustainability and also cut cost on the packaging so these incense sticks can be slightly be slightly expensive than the common brands people use in their day to day life but will still remain cheap in comparison with the brands like phool. As we increase reusability, and reduce procurement of materials for packaging we further cut cost. Thereby making a good place in the market.
